Yayla Plateaus
BesichtigungYayla is the Turkish word for plateaus, alpine pastures and highlands. But in Türkiye they’re so much more than just that, yaylas are basically a way of life. The hilly lands of the Black Sea Region, as well as along the Mediterranean and Aegean, are perfectly suited for growing all sorts of wildlife, and in the hot summer months they of course make the perfect getaway! The hills have cool breezes, a local way of life all their own, local foods and local customs, and represent one of the great ways to discover the beauty of Türkiye.
Bedesten Bazaar
HistorischBedesten Bazaar, which makes you feel like you are walking in Ottoman markets! It is a Genoese building built in the 11th century. After the Ottoman conquest of Trabzon, it became a covered bazaar. There are artisans selling local goods and materials and a cafeteria that has been authentically restored according to the architectural structure. You can take a short break from your trip by drinking Turkish coffee in cafes that maintain the Ottoman coffeehouse culture. You can buy local items that will remind you of your Trabzon trip. It can also be a good choice to buy gifts for your loved ones.
Boztepe
BesichtigungBoztepe, where you can take pictures like postcards! At the end of a tiring Trabzon tour, you can go to Boztepe, where you can see all of Trabzon, in order to say goodbye to the city. It is a highly preferred place to watch the sunset and sunrise. You can have a local Black Sea breakfast while watching the sunrise at one of the businesses located here early in the morning.

Ataturk’s Pavilion
BesichtigungA pavilion which founder can not spend any time! Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the Turkish Republic’s founding father owned this house but hardly spent any time there. However, visit the hilltop location to see beautiful gardens filled with various flowers, and the well-kept furniture from the 1920s. Visitors can see the original speech read by Ataturk when he arrived in Trabzon, photos of him from various city visits, and his bedroom, bathroom, and study room. On guided city tours, the house is on itineraries, or the home sits in Trabzon's Soguksu neighbourhood and is easily reached by public transport or car. The pavilion opens every day from 08.00 am to 5 pm in winter or seven pm in summer.
