Megalo Seitani

Strand

At about 6 km. to the west after Karlovasi, Megalo Seitani compensates visitors who have walked down a path for longer than 3.5 km. The landscape is gorgeous with pine trees all around and the beach has golden thick sand. The wider area including Megalo Seitani and Mikro Seitani nearby is a sea park that hosts Monachus-Monachus seals. This beach is isolated and visitors should make provisions for water, snacks and hats, but it is definitely worth it.

Mikro Seitani

Strand

This small pebble cove is lying on the northwest coast of Samos. It is a peaceful place of great natural beauty, guarded by huge sculpted rocks. The waters are fresh and particularly clear.

Potami Beach

Strand

Potami is a long pebble beach with clean waters on Samos northeast coast. The beach is accessible by car or on foot from Karlovassi. The beach consists mainly of pebbles. Some nearby restaurants and a snack bar on the beach.

Kokkari Beach

The big beach appropriately named The Long beach is situated on the waterfront in Kokkari.Just in front of the most popular tourist resort of Samos.This is a beach where visitors have the opportunity to enjoy the deep blue waters of the Aegean Sea and the natural beauty of the island. Kokkari beach is covered with white pebbles that reach the shore and in some parts it has sand. It is organized with umbrellas and sundecks and a beach bar offering snacks and cold drinks throughout the day. Kokkari as well as other beaches are ideal for sports like windsurfing, since the area is very windy and creates the perfect conditions for these kind of water sports. There are two smaller and equally nice beaches to the east of Kokkari, they are more sheltered and quieter. There is a tavern on the hill above the beaches, with a very nice view of the sea. It’s an ideal venue for a long relaxing lunch.

Lemonakia Beach

Lemonakia Beach is located just outside Kokkari in a sheltered bay, you reach the beach via a 100m long path from the main road. It is partly organized with umbrellas and sundecks and a beach bar providing snacks and cold drinks. Its crystal waters make this beach quite popular.

Psili Ammos

Psili Amos is a fine sandy beach seven kilometres to the south of Samos. It’s very shallow, you have to walk far from shore to get into deep water, it is hence well suited for children. It’s a sandy beach with shallow waters, sunbeds etc are available. There are a couple taverns near the beach.

Kaladakia Beach

However, during the last two years more and more people come to know Kaladakia due to a new and remarkable hotel built some 500 meters away. The hotel’s management has organized the beach, so you can enjoy sunbeds and umbrellas ( payment is required) and a kiosk for coffee or refreshments, sandwiches, ice creams etc. The sea is incredibly clean and cool, but deep, while the beach is covered with small and beautiful pebbles. What makes it unique is the small cave located in its left end, which communicates with the water. Enter by land, dive, and swim your way out! Standard diving equipment (mask) is required if you want to see and admire the beauty of its blue bottom. Just, dive and… enjoy your time!

Votsalakia Beach

This is a very large beach with pebbles and sand located on southern Samos. The beach consists of sand/pebbles. There are various locations where umbrellas and sunbeds are available along the beach and you will find plenty of taverns close to the beach.
