Gallipoli Peninsula Historical National Park

Established to honor the 500,000 soldiers who lost their lives on Gelibolu! Mustafa Kemal, commander of the Turkish army, led a successful campaign to drive out allied powers from the area. The park includes memorials, monuments, cemeteries, the natural beauty of the Ariburnu Cliffs and Tuz Golu (Salt Lake) The beauty of the green hills, sandy beaches and blue waters provides an honorable resting place for the soldiers who bravely fought and died in this historic battle. You cannot help but sense the heart of the Turkish nation in the patriotic spirit of the place.

Anzak Koyu Beach

The most important sea of the 1st world war! Anzak Koyu, Avustralyalılar için büyük önem taşımaktadır. Çünkü Anzac Kolordusu 25 Nisan 1915 tarihinde bu koydan çıkarma yapmışlardır. Anzak Koyu, Türkiye’de, Çanakkale Şehitliği Gelibolu Yarımadası’nda küçük bir koydur. Çanakkale Savaşı sırasında Anzakların bu koya çıkarma yapmalarıyla ünlenmiştir. 600 metre uzunluğudaki koy, kuzeyden Arıburnu tepeleriyle çevrilidir. Yapılan çıkarmadan sonra, plaj Anzaklar için ana üs konumuna gelmiştir.

One of the earliest museology practices and museology initiatives made in the Ottoman lands! The archeological site of Troy has been inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998 because of its outstanding universal value as a site that has witnessed various civilizations for over 4000 years and has been a significant influence on the development of the European civilization, arts, and literature over two millennia. Museum of Troy, located 800 meters from the site, is honoring this heritage and is a medium to tell the rich history of Troy in relation to its natural, cultural, artistic and archeological context.

The place where the Trojan War mentioned in Homer's Iliad was fought! According to the myth of the foundation of Troy, Electra, the daughter of the sea nymph Thetis and the god of the sea, Oceanus, gave birth to Dardanos as the wife of Zeus. Tros, son of Dardanos, founded the city called Truad, and his son Ilus founded the city of Troy. Kaz Mountain, on the skirts of which Troy was founded, is the place where the world's first beauty contest was held, which was also the cause of the Trojan War. The beauties participating in the beauty contest are Hera, Aphrodite and Athena. Assuming the role of selector, Paris chooses Aphrodite, who promises him Helena, the wife of the king of Sparta. Paris' kidnapping of Helena also starts the war.
